Saraland, AL – Authorities are currently searching for a missing woman in Bayou Sara following a boating accident that occurred late this afternoon, BuzzReport has learned. According to Saraland Police Chief J.C. West, two boats collided near Bayou Sara, leading to the active search and rescue operation.

Chief West confirmed that a young child was injured in the collision and has been airlifted to a local hospital for medical treatment. The extent of the child’s injuries is currently unknown.

A dive team has been deployed to the area to aid in the search for the missing woman. Mobile Fire-Rescue and Saraland Fire-Rescue are also on the scene assisting with the ongoing operation.

“We are focusing our efforts on locating the missing woman and ensuring the safety of everyone involved,” Chief West stated.

At this time, no other injuries have been reported in connection with the boating accident. Authorities are continuing to investigate the circumstances surrounding the collision.
