Mobile Police Respond to Standoff at Murphy USA

Monile, AL (BuzzReport) – A standoff situation unfolded at the Murphy USA on Highway 90 in Mobile, Alabama, on Wednesday, June 12, 2025. Around 11:19 p.m., officers responded to a report of a male subject on top of the building. Upon arrival, police found the individual holding a machete and refusing to comply with orders to come down.

The situation escalated when the subject allegedly threatened officers and caused damage to the building. Despite multiple attempts to deescalate, the situation turned physical when officers reached the roof. One officer sustained minor injuries and was taken to a local hospital.

The subject was also transported to a hospital for evaluation. According to police, the individual faces charges of Assault, Assault with Bodily Fluids, and Criminal Mischief after allegedly tossing a bottle of urine at emergency responders. The subject’s name will be released once they are transported from the hospital to jail. The investigation is ongoing.
