Mobile, AL (BuzzReport) – A late-night incident at a Murphy USA gas station on Highway 90 in Mobile resulted in the arrest of a man after he allegedly climbed onto the roof, brandished a machete, and threw urine. Mobile police officers responded to a call at approximately 11:19 p.m. Wednesday night reporting a male subject on the roof of the building. Upon arrival, they encountered Brett Kraft, Jr., who was reportedly armed with a machete and refused to comply with officers’ commands to descend. The situation quickly escalated. Kraft allegedly proceeded to throw urine and cause damage to the gas station roof. Given the unusual circumstances and Kraft’s refusal to cooperate, Mobile Fire-Rescue was called to the scene to assist officers in gaining access to the roof. According to authorities, when officers reached the roof, Kraft charged at them, resulting in minor injuries to one officer. The injured officer was transported to a local hospital for treatment and has since been released. Following the altercation, Kraft was apprehended and taken into custody. He was first evaluated at a local hospital before being transported to Metro Jail. Kraft is now facing charges of Assault, Assault with Bodily Fluids, and Criminal Mischief. The incident remains under investigation by the Mobile Police Department. Further details will be released as they become available.
