Birmingham, AL (BuzzReport) – The Birmingham Police Department has taken Jamal Crawford, 37, of Center Point, Alabama, into custody in connection with burglary and sexual abuse charges. Crawford was arrested on June 9, 2025, in Childersburg, Alabama, by the Birmingham Police Department’s Crime Reduction Team and the US Marshals. According to the Birmingham Police Department, the incident occurred on May 2, 2025, in the 7700 block of Madrid Avenue in East Birmingham. Detectives investigated and gathered information, leading to the issuance of warrants for burglary in the first degree and sexual abuse in the second degree. Crawford is currently being held at the Jefferson County Jail on a $15,000 bond for the sexual abuse charge and no bond for the burglary charge.
