Reola, AL (BuzzReport) – A 14-year-old boy from Georgia was taken into custody by the Creola Police Department on Friday, June 6, after an incident on I-65 southbound near Exit 22. According to police officials, officers stopped a vehicle in the area around 12:20 a.m. and found multiple people inside. During the stop, officers asked the occupants to exit the vehicle so it could be searched. However, the 14-year-old male passenger allegedly refused to cooperate and fled on foot towards Ellison Avenue. In response, officers called for backup and initiated a search for the boy. Shortly after, officers stopped another vehicle in the area and found the boy hiding in the back seat. The Creola Police Department contacted the boy’s parents, and he was subsequently arrested on a charge of attempt to elude.
