14-Year-Old Arrested in Creola After Attempting to Elude Police

Creola, AL (BuzzReport) – A 14-year-old juvenile was taken into custody early Friday morning by the Creola Police Department after attempting to flee from officers during a traffic stop on I-65 Southbound.

According to the police report, officers initiated the traffic stop around 12:20 AM near Exit 22. After requesting the occupants to exit the vehicle for a probable cause search, one male individual refused to cooperate and fled the scene on foot towards Ellison Avenue.

Additional units responded, and a search was initiated. The juvenile was later found hiding in the back seat of another vehicle that had arrived in the area. Further investigation revealed the teenager had recently run away from home in Georgia.

The Creola Police Department established contact with the local law enforcement agency and the juvenile’s parents. The teenager was charged with Attempt to Elude and transported to the Strickland Youth Center.
