Eyewitness accounts recount the sheer horror of the moment as the vehicle, described as a black SUV with a crumpled front, drove into attendees. James Cruzat, a local business owner present at the event, described hearing the car rev its engine before a loud bang echoed through the street. “We saw people on the road crying, others were running, shouting, or even screaming, asking for help,” Cruzat recounted. “It was terrible to see that kind of incident… I couldn’t even imagine it happening in real life.”
