Driver Killed After Vehicle Crashes Into Tree Along Moffett Road

Mobile, AL (BuzzReport) — A 51-year-old man was pronounced dead at the scene Friday morning after his vehicle left the roadway and slammed into a tree along Moffett Road near Western Drive.

According to the initial report, officers responded to the crash at approximately 9:08 a.m. on October 9, 2026. When officers arrived, they discovered a vehicle had veered off the roadway and struck a tree.

The driver, identified as Adrian Portlock, 51, was pronounced deceased at the scene. A male passenger who was also inside the vehicle sustained injuries and was transported to a local hospital for medical treatment.

Information leading up to the crash have not been released, and no additional information regarding the passenger’s condition was immediately available.
