Mobile, AL (BuzzReport) — Alabama Democratic U.S. Senate nominee Everett Wess is bringing his campaign to Mobile Tuesday as he continues his statewide effort ahead of the November 3 general election.

Wess is scheduled to make a campaign stop at Mary’s Southern Cooking on Tuesday, September 29, at 12:00 noon, where Mobile residents will have an opportunity to meet the candidate, hear directly from him and learn more about his campaign platform and priorities.

The campaign stop comes as Wess, a Birmingham attorney and former municipal judge, works to introduce his message to voters across Alabama. He is running as the Democratic nominee for the U.S. Senate seat currently held by Republican Sen. Tommy Tuberville. His Republican opponent in the November election is U.S. Rep. Barry Moore. Wess’s campaign has placed a significant emphasis on issues including affordable healthcare, economic opportunity, jobs, public education and protecting citizens’ rights. His campaign says he wants to expand access to healthcare, particularly in rural and underserved communities, while also supporting economic opportunities and Alabama workers. (wessforsenate.com)

Affordability has also become a central part of Wess’s campaign message. He has pointed to the rising cost of groceries, gasoline, prescription medications and healthcare as issues affecting Alabama families. Tuesday’s Mobile appearance gives voters an opportunity to hear Wess’s positions directly and ask questions as the Senate contest moves into the final weeks before Election Day.
