Woman Arrested After Domestic Dispute Leads To Early-Morning Assault On Marine Street

Mobile, AL (BuzzReport) — An early-morning domestic dispute in Mobile resulted in the arrest of a 62-year-old woman after police say a verbal altercation escalated into a physical confrontation, leaving a man with a minor injury.

According to authorities, officers were dispatched to the 800 block of Marine Street at approximately 3:46 a.m. Sunday, September 13, 2026, following a report of a domestic dispute.

When officers arrived, they made contact with the male victim, who told investigators that he and a known adult female had been involved in a verbal argument. During the confrontation, the situation reportedly escalated when the woman allegedly struck him with a foreign object.

The victim suffered a minor, non-life-threatening injury as a result of the incident. He was transported to a local hospital for medical treatment and evaluation.

Officers detained the female subject at the scene, and authorities reported that the situation was brought under control without any further incident.

The woman was identified as Sarah Murphy, 62, who was subsequently transported to Metro Jail.
