Baldwin County Deputies Search for Suspect After Shooting Near Bay Minette

BAY MINETTE, Ala. (BuzzReport) — Authorities are investigating a late-night shooting near Bay Minette that left one person hospitalized as deputies work to locate a suspect who has already been identified.

The shooting happened late Saturday night, shortly before midnight, in the area of Pine Grove Road Extension and Nicholsville Road, according to the Baldwin County Sheriff’s Office.

Deputies responded to the area following reports of gunfire and discovered that a person had been wounded.

The victim was transported to University Hospital for treatment and was later reported to be in stable condition. Authorities have not released additional information about the extent of the victim’s injuries.

Investigators have reportedly identified a suspect in connection with the shooting and are now working to locate that individual. However, the names of both the suspect and the victim have not been formally released by authorities.
