Traffic Stop Near Water Street Leads to Drug Arrest

MOBILE, Ala. — A traffic stop Friday afternoon led to the arrest of a 55-year-old man after officers reportedly discovered drugs inside the vehicle.

According to authorities, officers conducted a traffic stop at approximately 1:12 p.m. on Friday, August 14, 2026, near the intersection of Water Street and St. Joseph Street.

During the traffic stop, officers discovered drugs inside the vehicle, prompting further investigation.

Anthony Boggs, 55, was taken into custody and transported to Metro Jail following the discovery.
