FERRY PASS, Fla. (BuzzReport) — A 31-year-old Pensacola man has been arrested in connection with a Thursday morning shooting that left a 37-year-old man dead inside an apartment in the Ferry Pass area.

Authorities identified the suspect as Will Bryant, who is now facing a domestic violence homicide charge in connection with the fatal shooting.

According to the sheriff’s office, deputies were called to an apartment on Spanish Trail near Creighton Road after receiving reports of a shooting. When deputies arrived, they discovered a 37-year-old man deceased inside the apartment.

Investigators say the victim was lying in bed when he was shot and killed.

Bryant was reportedly one of the victim’s roommates, adding another troubling dimension to the investigation as detectives work to determine what led to the deadly confrontation.

The circumstances surrounding the shooting, including what may have prompted the violence and the relationship between Bryant and the victim, remain under investigation. Authorities have not released additional details regarding a possible motive.

Bryant was taken into custody following the investigation and is being held in connection with the deadly shooting.

The case remains active, and additional information could be released as investigators continue gathering evidence and interviewing witnesses.
