One Man Killed in Tuesday Afternoon Shooting on Halls Mill Road in Mobile

MOBILE, Ala. (BuzzReport) — Mobile Police are investigating a fatal shooting that claimed the life of an adult man Tuesday afternoon on Halls Mill Road.

According to the Mobile Police Department, officers responded shortly after 3:00 p.m. to the 4400 block of Halls Mill Road following reports of a shooting.

When officers arrived, they found an adult male suffering from a severe, life-threatening gunshot wound. Mobile Fire-Rescue personnel also responded to the scene, but despite their efforts, the victim was pronounced dead at the scene.

Investigators remained at the location Tuesday afternoon as they processed evidence and worked to determine what led to the deadly shooting. The area was secured with crime scene tape while detectives interviewed potential witnesses and gathered information.

At this time, authorities have not released the identity of the victim, nor have they announced whether any suspects have been identified or taken into custody.

The Mobile Police Department says the case remains an active investigation, and no additional details are being released at this time.
