Gulf Shores, AL (BuzzReport)—A tragic early morning incident in Gulf Shores has claimed the life of a 39-year-old Oklahoma woman after investigators say she fell from a moving vehicle along West Fort Morgan Road.

According to the Gulf Shores Police Department, first responders were dispatched at approximately 1:00 a.m. on Thursday, June 25, 2026, to the 2000 block of Gulf Shores Parkway following reports of an injured person.

When emergency crews arrived, they found Jaclyn Marie Chapman, 39, of Broken Arrow, Oklahoma, suffering from severe, life-threatening injuries. She was immediately transported to a local hospital for emergency medical treatment.

As officers investigated, they determined Chapman’s injuries had occurred just minutes earlier in the 11000 block of West Fort Morgan Road, where she was riding as a passenger in a moving vehicle before falling from it under circumstances that remain under investigation.

Despite extensive lifesaving efforts by medical personnel, Chapman later succumbed to her injuries.

In a statement, the Gulf Shores Police Department expressed sympathy to those impacted by the tragedy.

“Our thoughts and prayers are with the families and loved ones affected by this tragic event. We extend our deepest condolences during this difficult time.”

Authorities have not released additional details about what led to the incident, including the circumstances surrounding Chapman’s fall or whether any charges are being considered. Investigators continue to work to establish exactly what happened in the moments leading up to the fatal incident.

Police are urging anyone who witnessed the incident or has information that could assist investigators to come forward.
