MONTGOMERY, Ala. (BuzzReport)— A Saturday night shooting in Montgomery turned deadly, leaving one person dead and another injured as police continue searching for answers. According to the Montgomery Police Department, officers responded to the 1500 block of Westcott Street at approximately 7:52 p.m. after receiving reports of a person who had been shot. The location is near West Fairview Avenue. When officers arrived, they discovered two victims suffering from gunshot wounds. Authorities confirmed that one victim died from their injuries, while a second victim was transported for medical treatment. The injured victim’s condition has not yet been released. Investigators remained at the scene Saturday night, collecting evidence and working to determine what led to the violence. Police have not released the identities of either victim, nor have they announced whether any suspects have been identified or taken into custody. The circumstances surrounding the shooting remain under investigation, and detectives are asking anyone with information that could assist the case to come forward.
