PRICHARD, Ala. — Mobile County Sheriff’s Office deputies are investigating what appear to be two separate shooting-related incidents that unfolded just blocks apart before dawn Sunday morning in Prichard.

The first investigation began shortly before 3:00 a.m. when deputies responded to the Lovejoy Loop area following reports of a possible shooting. Upon arrival, authorities secured part of the neighborhood with crime scene tape as investigators worked to process the scene and gather evidence.

Officials confirmed that one man has been detained, but investigators have not released his identity or announced whether any criminal charges have been filed. The circumstances surrounding the detention also remain unclear.

While the investigation on Lovejoy Loop was underway, deputies were also seen examining a second potential crime scene near Fry Daddy’s on Wilson Avenue, located only a short distance away. Investigators searched the area for evidence before eventually clearing the scene.

At this time, authorities have not confirmed whether the two incidents are connected or what exactly occurred at either location. No information has been released regarding possible victims or whether anyone was injured.

The Mobile County Sheriff’s Office has not provided additional details, and requests for more information are still pending.

Deputies continue to investigate both incidents as they work to determine what happened during the early morning hours.

This remains a developing story. The Buzz Report will continue to follow this investigation and provide updates as new information becomes available.
