MOBILE COUNTY, Ala. (BuzzReport) — A single-vehicle motorcycle crash on Interstate 65 in Mobile County caused traffic disruptions Sunday afternoon, prompting a temporary closure of northbound lanes as emergency personnel responded to the scene.

According to authorities, the crash occurred at approximately 4:11 p.m. on Sunday, June 21, near the 19-mile marker on Interstate 65 North. The incident involved a motorcycle and resulted in a lane closure while first responders worked to secure the area and investigate the circumstances surrounding the crash.

Traffic in the northbound lanes was affected for a period of time as motorists were directed around the scene. Officials have since confirmed that the roadway has been fully reopened, allowing normal traffic flow to resume.

At this time, officials have not released information regarding the condition of the motorcyclist or whether any injuries were sustained as a result of the crash. The cause of the accident also remains under investigation.

Troopers with the Alabama Law Enforcement Agency (ALEA) Highway Patrol Division responded to the scene and are leading the ongoing investigation. Authorities are working to determine what factors may have contributed to the crash.
