Suspect Arrested After Multiple Vehicles Reportedly Burglarized at Mobile Towing Lot

MOBILE, Ala. (BuzzReport News) — An investigation into a series of vehicle burglaries at a Mobile towing facility has resulted in the arrest of a 39-year-old man, according to authorities.

The case began on Monday, June 15, 2026, when officers responded to Hub City Towing, located at 5113 Halls Mill Road, following reports of suspicious activity and vehicle break-ins on the property.

Upon arrival, officers met with the complainant, who reported observing several individuals on the towing lot after business hours. According to the report, the subjects were allegedly moving from vehicle to vehicle without authorization, searching through cars that did not belong to them.

Investigators say the individuals entered multiple vehicles stored on the property and removed personal belongings belonging to several victims. The incident raised concerns not only for vehicle owners but also for businesses that store and safeguard property on behalf of customers.

Following an investigation, officers identified a person of interest in the case. On Wednesday, June 17, 2026, authorities located and detained the suspect without incident. A detective responded to the scene and continued the investigation.

Police identified the suspect as Kenneth Lewis, 39, who was subsequently transported to Metro Jail.
