Woman Found Fatally Shot at Mobile Apartment Complex; Boyfriend Charged with Murder

MOBILE, Ala. (BuzzReport News) — A tragic shooting at a Mobile apartment complex has left a woman dead and her boyfriend behind bars facing a murder charge, according to the Mobile Police Department.

Officers responded to Hillcrest Estates Apartments, located at 4031 Airport Boulevard, following reports of a shooting. Upon arrival, police discovered a woman inside one of the apartments suffering from a gunshot wound. Authorities confirmed that the victim was pronounced dead at the scene.

As detectives launched their investigation, evidence and witness statements led them to identify the victim’s boyfriend, Jakoby Fowler, 24, as the suspected shooter.

According to police, Fowler remained at the scene following the incident and was taken into custody without further incident. He has since been charged with Murder and transported to the appropriate detention facility pending court proceedings.

The victim’s identity has not yet been publicly released as authorities work to notify family members and continue their investigation into the circumstances surrounding the deadly shooting.
