MOBILE, Ala. (BuzzReport)— Mobile Police are investigating after a residence in north Mobile was struck by gunfire during the early morning hours Tuesday, marking another incident of gun violence that has residents on edge.

According to the Mobile Police Department, officers were dispatched to the 5100 block of Garland Street North at approximately 2:11 a.m. on Tuesday, June 16, 2026, following reports of shots fired in the area.

When officers arrived at the scene, they discovered that a home had been struck by gunfire. Investigators conducted an initial assessment of the residence and surrounding area to collect evidence and determine the circumstances leading up to the shooting.

Fortunately, no injuries were reported as a result of the incident. Authorities have not released information regarding potential suspects, a motive, or whether the residence was specifically targeted.

Crime scene investigators were observed gathering evidence as detectives began interviewing potential witnesses and canvassing the neighborhood for surveillance footage that could assist in identifying those responsible.

Residents in the area expressed concern over the shooting, which occurred while many families were asleep.

The Mobile Police Department has classified the case as an active investigation and is urging anyone with information to come forward.
