CLARK COUNTY, Ala. (The Buzz Report) — A heartbreaking tragedy has shaken a quiet Clark County community after a 3-year-old child was reportedly found unresponsive inside a vehicle on family property Friday evening.

The Buzz Report has learned that the child, believed to be the son of Tiffany Grey Walker and Cody Walker, died after being discovered in a hot vehicle on Friday, June 12.

According to information provided to The Buzz Report by multiple sources, the incident unfolded around 5 p.m. when law enforcement agencies launched an intensive search for a missing 3-year-old child. Residents reported seeing numerous law enforcement vehicles, including deputies and police officers, flooding the area as authorities worked to locate the child.

Witnesses estimate that at least a dozen law enforcement vehicles were involved in the search effort.

Authorities eventually located the child inside a vehicle parked on the parents’ property. Sources indicate the child was unresponsive when found.

In a desperate effort to save the child’s life, officers reportedly transported the child to Grove Hill Memorial Hospital in a police vehicle. Despite those efforts, the child was later pronounced deceased.

The circumstances surrounding how long the child may have been inside the vehicle remain unclear.

The incident has left residents stunned in what many describe as a normally quiet community.

“This is unusual for our neighborhood, and to see so many police, we were very concerned,” one anonymous resident told The Buzz Report.

Another resident expressed sympathy for everyone affected by the tragedy.

“Our hearts and prayers go out to the family, the children, and everyone involved,” the resident said.

Sources have also informed The Buzz Report that the Alabama Department of Human Resources (DHR) has reportedly removed two other children from the home. However, officials have not publicly confirmed the circumstances surrounding that action.

The Buzz Report initially began investigating after receiving tips from concerned residents who reported a significant law enforcement presence and believed a major incident had occurred in their neighborhood.

At this time, The Buzz Report has not received a response from the Clark County Sheriff’s Office regarding the investigation. Authorities have not publicly announced whether any arrests have been made or whether criminal charges are being considered.

The death remains under active investigation, and officials have released few details about the circumstances leading up to the incident.

As temperatures continue to rise across Alabama, safety experts continue to warn that vehicles can reach deadly temperatures within minutes, even when outside temperatures appear moderate. Children are particularly vulnerable to heat-related emergencies, and experts urge parents and caregivers to always check vehicles before locking them and to never leave children unattended inside a vehicle.

The Buzz Report will continue to investigate this developing story and provide updates as additional information becomes available from law enforcement and other official sources.
