MOBILE, Ala. (BuzzReport) — A Mobile man has been arrested in connection with a stabbing that left two people injured Sunday evening in the city’s Crichton area, according to the Mobile Police Department.

Authorities announced that Arnez Wilkerson, 38, has been arrested and transported to Metro Jail following an investigation into the violent incident that occurred on the 2900 block of Bank Avenue.

Police said officers were dispatched to the area at approximately 5:26 p.m. on Sunday, June 14, 2026, after receiving reports of a stabbing.

When officers arrived on the scene, they discovered a male victim and a female victim suffering from injuries consistent with a stabbing. Both victims sustained non-life-threatening injuries and were transported to a local hospital for medical treatment.

As investigators began gathering evidence and interviewing witnesses, they determined that a known male suspect had allegedly cut both victims before fleeing the scene on foot.

According to police, officers quickly located and apprehended the suspect a short time later. During the investigation, authorities learned that the suspect had suffered a minor injury after falling during the altercation with the victims.

The suspect was initially transported to a local hospital for treatment of his injuries. Following his release from the hospital, Arnez Wilkerson was taken into custody and booked into the Mobile County Metro Jail.

Police have not yet released details regarding the circumstances that led to the altercation or what charges Wilkerson may face as the investigation continues.

The condition of both victims has not been updated, but authorities have confirmed their injuries were not considered life-threatening.

The Mobile Police Department stated that the case remains an active and ongoing investigation, and additional charges or information could be released as detectives continue reviewing the incident.
