MOBILE, Ala. (BuzzReport) — A man has died following a two-vehicle crash Sunday morning at one of Mobile’s busiest intersections, according to authorities.

Police said officers responded at approximately 9:32 a.m. on June 14, 2026, to the area of Airport Boulevard and General Bullard Avenue following reports of a traffic accident involving a pickup truck and another vehicle.

When officers arrived on the scene, they found the driver of the pickup truck suffering from serious injuries and experiencing difficulty breathing. Emergency medical personnel transported the victim to a local hospital for treatment.

Preliminary findings indicate the victim was driving a pickup truck and was attempting to exit a parking lot when the vehicle was struck by a car traveling eastbound on Airport Boulevard.

Despite efforts by medical personnel, the driver of the pickup truck later succumbed to his injuries and was pronounced dead at the hospital.

Authorities have not yet released the identity of the victim pending notification of next of kin. Information regarding the driver of the other vehicle involved in the collision has also not been released.

The crash caused a significant emergency response in the area as investigators worked to document the scene and determine the circumstances leading up to the deadly collision.

The Mobile Police Department said the investigation remains active. Detectives are continuing to gather evidence, review the events surrounding the crash, and determine whether any contributing factors played a role in the collision.

No additional details have been released at this time.
