PENSACOLA, FL (BuzzReport)— Authorities have announced an arrest in connection with a deadly shooting that left one man dead and another injured in Pensacola on Wednesday.

The Escambia County Sheriff’s Office confirmed that Ke’Shawn M. Warren, 23, has been arrested and charged with Homicide and Attempted Homicide following the shooting that occurred at the Hotel Del Sol on Pensacola Boulevard.

According to investigators, deputies initially responded on June 10 to reports of a shooting victim on Kenmore Road. Upon arrival, deputies located a male suffering from gunshot wounds. The victim was transported to a local hospital, where he later succumbed to his injuries and was pronounced dead.

A second victim was also identified during the investigation after arriving at a local hospital with a gunshot wound to the leg. That victim survived and is receiving medical treatment.

As detectives worked to piece together the events leading up to the violence, investigators determined that the shooting had actually occurred inside a room at the Hotel Del Sol on Pensacola Boulevard. Authorities say all three individuals—the deceased victim, the surviving victim, and Warren—were inside the hotel room at the time gunfire erupted.

While an arrest has now been made, investigators have not yet established a motive for the shooting. Detectives continue to examine evidence and conduct interviews in an effort to determine what led to the deadly encounter.

The identity of the deceased victim has not yet been released publicly pending notification of family members and further investigative procedures.

The case remains under active investigation by the Escambia County Sheriff’s Office. Anyone with additional information related to the incident is encouraged to contact investigators or Crime Stoppers.

Additional details are expected to be released as the investigation progresses and court proceedings move forward.
