Deadly Shooting In Foley Leaves One Man Dead; Murder Charge Filed

FOLEY, Ala. (BuzzReport) — A man is dead and another is facing a murder charge following a fatal shooting Friday evening in Foley, according to the Baldwin County Sheriff’s Office.

Deputies were dispatched to Doc McDuffie Road at approximately 5:30 p.m. on June 5, 2026, after receiving reports of a male who had been shot.

When deputies arrived at the scene, they immediately began administering life-saving measures in an effort to save the victim. Despite their efforts, the victim succumbed to his injuries and was pronounced dead at the scene.

Authorities quickly secured the area and detained a suspect at the location. Investigators with the Baldwin County Sheriff’s Office responded to launch an extensive investigation into the circumstances surrounding the shooting. Detectives conducted witness interviews while Crime Scene Investigators processed evidence and documented the scene.

The identity of the deceased has not yet been released as officials work to notify the victim’s family.

The suspect has been identified as Patrick Beasley, who authorities say will be charged with murder in connection with the fatal shooting. Beasley is expected to be transported to the Baldwin County Corrections Center pending formal processing.

Sheriff’s officials emphasized that the shooting appears to have been an isolated incident and stated there is no ongoing threat to the public.
