Gulfport, MS (BuzzReport)—A violent shooting at a Gulfport gas station Tuesday afternoon left two people dead and another fighting for their life, sending shockwaves through the community and triggering a major police response along Highway 49. Authorities confirmed the shooting happened at the Walmart Fuel & Convenience station in Gulfport. According to Harrison County Coroner Brian Switzer, two individuals were pronounced dead following the gunfire, while a third victim was transported to a hospital in critical condition. Witnesses described a chaotic and terrifying scene as gunshots rang out across the busy area, forcing customers and employees to scramble for safety. Shortly after officers arrived at the scene, the Gulfport Police Department posted an update on X acknowledging the active investigation.
