DAPHNE, Ala. (BuzzReport) — A 27-year-old Irvington man has been arrested in connection to Wednesday night’s shooting incident at the Rock N Roll Sushi restaurant located in Jubilee Square in Daphne. According to police, J.R. Weilbacher surrendered himself to authorities following the incident. He has been charged with third-degree domestic violence and reckless endangerment. Investigators say the shooting occurred Wednesday night at the popular restaurant and shopping area, which was heavily surrounded by law enforcement as officers secured the scene and began their investigation. Authorities confirmed that no injuries were reported during the incident. At this time, officials have not released additional information regarding what led up to the shooting or the circumstances surrounding the incident. Police have also not disclosed whether additional charges could be pending as the investigation continues. The incident sparked concern among customers and nearby businesses as officers placed crime scene tape around portions of the shopping center during the investigation.
