MOBILE, Ala. (BuzzReport) — A Saturday night disturbance in Mobile escalated into violence after a woman was seriously injured in a stabbing outside a residence, according to police.

Authorities said officers responded to the 600 block of South Bayou Street on Saturday, May 9, 2026, at approximately 8:15 p.m. in reference to a disorderly conduct complaint.

When officers arrived on the scene, they discovered a female victim suffering from a stab wound. Emergency responders provided medical assistance before the victim was transported to a local hospital with serious injuries. Officials have not released the victim’s condition at this time.

Following an on-scene investigation, detectives determined that the stabbing occurred during an altercation outside of the home. Police said a known female subject allegedly attacked and cut the victim during the dispute.

Authorities identified the suspect as 40-year-old Tiswunda Franklin. She was taken into custody and transported to Metro Jail.

Jail records indicate Franklin was booked under arrest number 27 and is also being held on holds connected to Baldwin County authorities.

Investigators have not yet released details regarding what led to the confrontation or whether additional charges may be forthcoming. The case remains under active investigation.
