Mississippi Man Arrested in Jackson County on Child Exploitation Charges

JACKSON COUNTY, MS (BuzzReport)— Investigators with the Jackson County Sheriff’s Office have arrested a Biloxi man in connection with an alleged inappropriate relationship involving a minor.

Authorities announced that on April 28, 2026, 31-year-old Jared Michael Boswell, of Shadow Creek Drive in Biloxi, was taken into custody and formally charged with one count of grooming a child and one count of enticement of a child.

According to investigators, the charges stem from an inquiry launched after a report was filed on February 13, 2026. The complaint alleged that Boswell had engaged in an inappropriate relationship with a juvenile resident of Jackson Countythrough social media platforms. Authorities have not released additional details about the nature of the communications, citing the ongoing investigation and the need to protect the identity of the minor.

Boswell is currently being held at the Jackson County Adult Detention Center. During an initial court appearance, Mark Watts, a County Court judge, set bond at $400,000 for the two charges combined.

Officials say the investigation remains active, and additional information may be released as it becomes available.
