Mobile, AL (BuzzReport)- Authorities are investigating an early morning shooting that left one man injured near a busy West Mobile corridor. According to the Mobile Police Department, officers responded at approximately 2:20 a.m. on Saturday, April 25, 2026, to reports of gunfire in the area of Hillcrest Road and Grelot Road in Mobile. Upon arrival, officers were directed to the Waffle House, where they located an adult male suffering from a minor gunshot wound. The victim was transported to a local hospital for treatment and is expected to recover. Investigators later determined that the shooting did not occur at the restaurant itself, but rather in the 6000 block of Grelot Road, a short distance away. The circumstances leading up to the shooting remain unclear. Police have not released information about a suspect or motive at this time. The case remains an active investigation, and authorities are urging anyone with information to come forward.
