Jackson, MS (BuzzReport) — Authorities are investigating a deadly shooting that occurred at a local liquor store Wednesday afternoon, resulting in one fatality and a swift arrest. The incident took place just before 12:30 p.m. on April 22, 2026, at Liquor Wine & Spirits on East Northside Drive. Responding officers with Capitol Police arrived at the scene and discovered a male victim who had been fatally shot. The victim has been identified as Marcus Clay, 50, of Canton. He was pronounced dead at the scene. Investigators confirmed that Henry Brown, 59, was taken into custody in connection with the shooting. He has since been formally charged with murder. Authorities have not yet released details regarding a possible motive or the circumstances leading up to the shooting. The investigation remains ongoing.
