WILMER, Ala. (BuzzReport)— The Mobile County Sheriff’s Office is actively investigating a brutal triple homicide after three family members were found dead inside a Wilmer home Monday morning in a case authorities are calling deeply disturbing. Deputies were dispatched to a residence in the 7900 block of Auble Moody Road, where the bodies of 46-year-old Lisa Gail Fields, 17-year-old Keziah Luker, and 12-year-old Thomas Cordelle Jr. were discovered. All three victims lived at the home. During a press conference, Mobile County Sheriff Paul Burch confirmed that Luker was pregnant at the time of her death, adding another layer of tragedy to an already devastating crime. According to investigators, an 18-month-old child was also inside the home but was found unharmed. Authorities say a family member made the grim discovery. Preliminary findings suggest the killings occurred sometime overnight. Sheriff Burch detailed the violent nature of the crime, stating that all three victims had their hands bound behind their backs using zip ties or flex cuffs and were found in separate rooms throughout the home. Fields, the mother, suffered a fatal combination of a cut throat and stab wounds. Luker, the teenage victim, was shot. Thomas Cordelle Jr., the youngest victim, also had his throat cut, officials said. Investigators noted that the home appeared to have been ransacked. “Someone had gone through the residence. It was left in disarray,” Burch said. “It appears they were searching for something.” At this stage of the investigation, authorities have not identified any suspects and say there is no indication that the killings were the result of a domestic or family-related dispute. The Mobile County Sheriff’s Office is urging anyone with information to come forward as detectives continue working to piece together what led to the horrific killings. “This is a senseless and tragic loss of life,” Burch said. “We are committed to finding whoever is responsible.” Share this:Tweet Email a link to a friend (Opens in new window) Email Share on Threads (Opens in new window) Threads Share on Bluesky (Opens in new window) Bluesky Share on WhatsApp (Opens in new window) WhatsApp Share on Nextdoor (Opens in new window) Nextdoor Like this:Like Loading...
