Woman Killed in Morning Shooting in Pensacola; Suspect in Custody

ESCAMBIA COUNTY, Fla. (BuzzReport) — A 38-year-old woman was fatally shot Sunday morning in Pensacola, and authorities have taken a suspect into custody, according to the Escambia County Sheriff’s Office.

Deputies responded to the shooting around 10 a.m. in the area of Gulf Breeze Avenue and Gulf Beach Highway. Upon arrival, they found the woman suffering from a gunshot wound. She was pronounced dead at the scene.

Investigators have not yet released the identity of the suspect or the victim. Officials say the case remains under active investigation as they work to determine the circumstances surrounding the shooting.
