Mobile, Ala. (BuzzReport) — A shooting at Dauphin Gate Apartments left two people injured Tuesday evening, prompting an active investigation by local authorities.

Officers responded to the apartment complex, located at 3250 Dauphin Street, at approximately 7:15 p.m. after receiving reports of gunfire. Upon arrival, police determined that two individuals had already been transported from the scene by private vehicle to area hospitals.

Authorities confirmed that the victims include a juvenile male and an adult female. Both sustained gunshot wounds but are expected to survive, as their injuries have been classified as non-life-threatening.

The circumstances surrounding the shooting remain unclear, and investigators have not released details regarding a suspect, possible motive, or events leading up to the incident. The decision by those involved to leave the scene before emergency responders arrived may present additional challenges as detectives work to piece together what occurred.

The shooting has raised concerns among residents in the Dauphin Street corridor, a heavily traveled area in Mobile that includes residential communities and nearby businesses. Law enforcement presence increased in the area following the incident as officers canvassed for witnesses and potential evidence.

Officials have indicated that the case remains active, and further information will be released as it becomes available. Anyone with knowledge related to the shooting is encouraged to contact local authorities.
