Mobile, AL (BuzzReport) — A Mobile man has been arrested following an early morning assault at a local gas station on Sunday, March 29, 2026.

According to authorities, officers responded at approximately 1:13 a.m. to the Circle K located at 3500 Knollwood Drive in reference to a reported assault in the parking lot.

When officers arrived on scene, they found an adult male victim suffering from minor injuries. Emergency responders transported the victim to a local hospital for treatment. Officials have not released the victim’s identity or current condition.

Investigators determined that the victim had been physically assaulted in the parking lot by another individual who fled the scene before officers arrived.

Following an investigation, officers were able to identify the suspect and locate him a short time later. The suspect, identified as 31-year-old Johnathon Taylor, was taken into custody without incident.

Taylor was transported to Metro Jail, where he remains in custody. Authorities have not yet released additional details regarding potential charges or what may have led to the altercation.

The investigation remains ongoing.
