MILTON, Fla. (BuzzReport) — Authorities in Milton are investigating a hit-and-run incident involving a juvenile student who was struck while walking to school Thursday morning. The incident occurred between 7:30 a.m. and 8 a.m. at the intersection of Berryhill Road and Dogwood Drive, according to local police. In a statement, the Milton Police Department said the driver involved in the collision failed to stop at the scene, provide identifying information, or report the incident to law enforcement, as required by law. The student sustained minor injuries as a result of the crash. Officials have not released additional details about the victim’s condition or whether medical treatment was required. Investigators are now seeking assistance from the public as they work to identify the driver and vehicle involved. According to police, the suspect vehicle is described as a tan SUV. The driver is believed to be a white male between the ages of 30 and 35, with a brown mustache. Authorities are urging anyone who may have witnessed the incident or has information about the vehicle or driver to come forward.
