Mobile, AL (BuzzReport) — A predawn shooting in a residential Mobile neighborhood left one man dead, another injured, and multiple homes damaged by gunfire, according to authorities. Officers with the Mobile Police Department responded at approximately 4:30 a.m. on Sunday, March 22, 2026, to the 7000 block of Forest Glenn Court following reports of disorderly conduct. Upon arrival, officers discovered that gunfire had struck three homes in the area, along with an unoccupied vehicle, raising concerns about the potential for additional victims. While officers were securing the scene and assessing the damage, authorities learned that two male victims suffering from gunshot wounds had arrived at local hospitals in a private vehicle. One of the victims was later pronounced dead at the hospital. His identity has not yet been released, pending notification of next of kin. The second victim sustained injuries described as non-life-threatening and is expected to recover. Investigators have not released details regarding a suspect, motive, or the circumstances leading up to the shooting. It remains unclear whether the gunfire that struck the homes was targeted or incidental. Residents in the area were left shaken by the incident, which unfolded in the early morning hours when many were likely asleep inside their homes. No additional injuries among residents have been reported at this time. The Mobile Police Department stated that the investigation remains ongoing, and additional information will be released as it becomes available.
