Gautier, MS (BuzzReport) — A Gautier man has been arrested and charged in connection with an investigation involving the alleged sexual abuse of a minor, according to authorities.
The Gautier Police Department announced that officers arrested Travis Wilson, 37, of Gautier on Friday, March 15, 2026. Wilson has been charged with sexual battery of a child under the age of 14 following an investigation by the department.
Officials said Wilson is currently being held at the Jackson County Adult Detention Center while awaiting court proceedings.
Authorities confirmed that Wilson is scheduled to make his initial appearance in Gautier Municipal Court on Monday, March 16, 2026.
Investigators noted that the case remains active and ongoing, and additional charges could be filed as the investigation continues and more information is gathered.
The Gautier Police Department is asking anyone who may have information related to the case to contact the department’s Investigations Division at (228) 497-2486.
