Man Arrested After Domestic Violence Incident Sends Woman to Hospital in Mobile

Mobile, AL (BuzzReport) — A Mobile man is behind bars following a domestic violence incident that left a woman injured and seeking treatment at a local hospital late Tuesday night.

According to the Mobile Police Department, officers responded to a local hospital at approximately 9:00 p.m. on Tuesday, March 10, 2026, after receiving a report that a female victim had arrived with injuries believed to be the result of an assault.

When officers arrived, they learned the victim was being treated for injuries she reportedly sustained during a domestic violence incident that occurred in the 600 block of Caton Avenue. Authorities launched an investigation to determine the circumstances surrounding the incident.

During the course of the investigation, officers identified a known male suspect who allegedly physically assaulted the victim. Police later arrested 38-year-old Mark Blanks in connection with the case.

Blanks was taken into custody and transported to the Mobile Metro Jail, where he was booked pending formal charges.

Officials have not released additional details about the extent of the victim’s injuries, but authorities confirmed the case remains under investigation.
