McINTOSH, Ala. (BuzzReport) — A Jackson man has been arrested after authorities say he made threats involving a firearm toward an employee at a local daycare in McIntosh earlier this week.

According to court records, 26-year-old Vincent Black Jr. is charged with one count of making a terroristic threat in connection with the incident at Genesis Academy.

Investigators say the alleged threat occurred on March 3 when Black reportedly told a school administrator that he intended to cause harm to an employee at the daycare using a firearm. Court filings state that the threat prompted concern for the safety of both staff and children at the facility.

Documents further indicate that the employee who was the subject of the threat left the school out of fear for the children’s safety.

According to the court paperwork, Black allegedly told the administrator that he would return to the school at 6 a.m. so that “everyone could watch what he does” to the employee in front of children and staff members.

Authorities later took Black into custody. Jail records show he was arrested on March 5 and transported to the Clarke County Jail, where he is being held in connection with the charge.

No injuries were reported in the incident.

It is unclear at this time whether Black has been granted bond. The case remains under investigation.
