Mobile, Ala. (BuzzReport) — A 33-year-old man charged in an aggravated child abuse case entered a plea of not guilty during a court appearance Thursday, according to court records. Kendall Freeman turned himself in to authorities earlier this week and is facing one count of aggravated child abuse in connection with an incident involving a juvenile. According to the Mobile Police Department, the investigation began after officers responded to a call regarding a juvenile who required medical treatment. Officials said they are withholding additional details about the circumstances surrounding the case due to the victim’s age and the sensitive nature of the allegations. Freeman is currently being held in the Mobile County Metro Jail on a $75,000 bond. A preliminary hearing in the case is scheduled for March 25, where a judge will determine whether there is sufficient evidence for the case to proceed.
