Biloxi, Mississippi (BuzzReport) — A 27-year-old man was taken into custody after leading officers on a vehicle pursuit through two Mississippi Gulf Coast cities, according to the Biloxi Police Department. Police said the incident began when officers attempted to conduct a traffic stop near the intersection of Highway 90 and Beauvoir Road. Authorities reported that the driver refused to stop and instead accelerated away from officers. The suspect, later identified as Charles Badon, allegedly reached speeds of up to 60 miles per hour as the pursuit continued along Pass Road and into neighboring Gulfport, Mississippi. Officials have not released details regarding what prompted the initial traffic stop or whether any additional charges are pending. The chase ultimately ended with Badon taken into custody. No injuries were reported. The investigation remains ongoing.
