Mobile, AL (BuzzReport) — A 21-year-old man was arrested Friday afternoon following a brief vehicle pursuit that ended in a residential neighborhood, according to police. Authorities said the incident began around 1:05 p.m. on Friday, February 27, 2026, when officers with the Mobile Police Department attempted to initiate a traffic stop near the intersection of Airport Boulevard and University Boulevard. The driver refused to stop, prompting a pursuit. Police reported that the pursuit continued along Airport Boulevard before ending in the 200 block of Suzanne Circle. Investigators said the driver exited the vehicle while it was still moving, causing it to roll forward and strike a residence. No injuries were reported as a result of the crash. The driver was located shortly afterward in the 200 block of Lakewood Drive West and taken into custody without incident. The suspect was identified as Bryson Lee Perkins, 21. He was transported to Metro Jail, where he was booked on charges related to the incident. Additional details regarding potential charges or the extent of property damage were not immediately released. The incident remains under investigation.
