Falkville, AL (BuzzReport) — A 27-year-old Falkville man has been arrested on drug trafficking charges following an ongoing narcotics investigation conducted by local and state authorities. According to the Morgan County Sheriff’s Office, agents with the department’s Drug Enforcement Unit, along with the Alabama Drug Enforcement Task Force – Region F, launched an investigation into Dalton Thomas Sapp, 27, of Falkville. Investigators reported that during the course of the investigation, agents conducted multiple controlled purchases of suspected illegal narcotics from Sapp. On February 24, 2026, agents executed a search warrant at Sapp’s residence in the 2000 block of Highway 157 in Falkville. Authorities said the search resulted in the recovery of controlled substances and led to Sapp’s arrest. Sapp has been charged with the following offenses: Trafficking in Cocaine (13A-12-231) Possession of Marijuana, Second Degree (13A-12-214) He was transported to the Morgan County Jail, where bond was set at $10,300. Officials noted that the investigation remains ongoing and that additional charges or arrests are possible. Authorities also emphasized that arrests are public information and that an arrest does not imply guilt. All individuals are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law. Bond amounts are set by the courts in accordance with the bond schedule passed by the state legislature.
