Escambia County, FL (BuzzReport) – Early Thursday morning, deputies with the Escambia County Sheriff’s Office (ECSO) responded to a report of a lewd act near a school bus stop on Milestone Boulevard. The incident was reportedly witnessed by a juvenile and their mother. Authorities identified the suspect as 36-year-old Errice Lewis Rutledge. Deputies located Rutledge shortly afterward entering a thrift store on Nine Mile Road, where he was taken into custody without incident. Rutledge faces charges of indecent exposure and lewd and lascivious behavior in the presence of a victim under the age of 16. Both charges are felonies, compounded by a previous arrest and conviction in December 2025 for a similar offense. The ECSO commended the quick response and coordination of deputies, including the SRO Unit, for ensuring public safety.
