Mobile, AL (BuzzReport) — A 33-year-old man has been arrested following a reported shooting Wednesday morning in a residential area of Mobile. According to the Mobile Police Department, officers responded at approximately 7:50 a.m. on February 25, 2026, to the 1900 block of Ryders Lane after receiving reports of shots fired. When officers arrived on scene, they determined that a male suspect had fired multiple shots toward another male during a confrontation. The gunfire struck an unoccupied vehicle nearby, causing property damage. The intended victim was not injured. Police identified the suspect as 33-year-old Leonard Richardson. He was taken into custody without incident and transported to the Mobile County Metro Jail for processing. Authorities have not released additional details about the circumstances leading up to the shooting. The investigation remains ongoing.
