Mobile, AL (BuzzReport) — A routine patrol on Thursday afternoon led to the arrest of a 27-year-old man after officers identified a vehicle reported stolen traveling along a busy corridor in the city.

According to the Mobile Police Department, at approximately 1:25 p.m. on February 19, 2026, officers were patrolling near the intersection of St. Stephens Road and Cox Street when they observed a vehicle matching the description of one previously reported stolen.

Authorities say officers initiated a traffic stop without incident. The driver complied, and no injuries were reported during the encounter.

A detective responded to the scene to further investigate. The driver, identified as 27-year-old Charles Greer, was taken into custody and transported to Mobile Metro Jail.

Officials have not released additional details regarding potential charges, and the investigation remains ongoing.
