Teen Arrested on First-Degree Rape Charge in Opelika

Opelika, AL (BuzzReport) — A 19-year-old man has been arrested and charged in connection with a reported sexual assault involving a juvenile, according to authorities.

On Saturday, February 14, 2026, officers with the Opelika Police Department responded to the area of Pleasant Circle following a report of a possible rape. Investigators said the suspect, identified as Mar’Quavious Jamon Miller, fled the residence on a bicycle before officers arrived.

Police secured the scene and gathered statements from the juvenile victim’s family members as part of the initial investigation. A short time later, officers located Miller in the area of South Long Street and York Avenue, where he was taken into custody without incident.

Miller has been charged with First-Degree Rape. Due to the nature of the case and the involvement of a juvenile, authorities have not released additional details.
