Santa Rosa County, FL (BuzzReport) — Troopers with the Florida Highway Patrol are investigating the death of a Texas man who was found unresponsive inside a semi-truck in Santa Rosa County on February 17. According to authorities, troopers were dispatched to Interstate 10 near mile marker 28 after receiving a request for a welfare check on the driver of a parked semi-truck. The driver, identified as a 49-year-old man from Wharton, Texas, was found unconscious when troopers arrived at the scene. Emergency medical services pronounced the man deceased at the location. In a preliminary report, FHP officials stated that there were no immediate signs of foul play. The cause of death has not yet been determined. An investigation remains ongoing as authorities continue to review the circumstances surrounding the incident.
